Platform Background Introduction#
OKX (formerly known as OKEX), founded in 2017, is a leading global digital asset trading platform established by Xu Mingxing, the former Chief Technology Officer of Douyin.
Similar to Binance, OKX initially set its headquarters in Beijing, China. With the adjustment of domestic digital asset regulatory policies, the platform has relocated its headquarters to the Seychelles.
During the tightening of domestic regulatory policies in 2021, several digital asset service providers gradually withdrew from the Chinese market. Although OKX issued a compliance statement and withdrew its offices from mainland China, the platform continues to provide services to Chinese users.
Currently, Chinese users can still register and conduct trading operations through official channels. Below is the latest registration guide for investors in need.
Complete Account Registration Process#

- Step 1: Click the link above to visit the OKX official website, and enter your commonly used email address on the registration page:
- Step 2: Bind your mobile number (supports +86 China area code), receive and fill in the 6-digit SMS verification code:
- Step 3: Select your country/region of residence (recommended to match your identification information), confirm the service terms, and set your login password:
Important Note: The residence information must match the identification documents exactly. After completing the basic registration, you will be automatically redirected to the user backend, at which point the account will be in an unverified status:
Completing real-name authentication will unlock the digital asset trading function, and upon successful verification, you can receive a random digital asset blind box (worth up to 50 USDT).
Real-name Authentication Guide#
The current authentication process must be completed via mobile, as PC operations will prompt a redirect to the app. It is recommended to download the official client in advance for operation.

Mobile Authentication Process#
The OKX app can be used normally without additional network tools. After logging into your account, follow these steps:

Enter the "Identity Authentication" module

Select the type of identification (supports ID card/passport, etc.):

Upload photos of the front and back of the identification document (supports real-time capture or album upload):

Complete the live face recognition verification (real-time dynamic detection):

Note: The current web version has suspended direct authentication functions, it is recommended to prioritize using the app for verification.

Select the "Identity Authentication" entry:

Scan the QR code as prompted to redirect to the mobile device to complete the subsequent operations:
Once authentication is complete, you can start your digital asset trading experience.
